Lessons are offered at 30, 45 and 60 minute increments at a minimum of one lesson per week.
Lessons include everything it takes to make a string player an artist:
- Solo repertoire
- Note reading
- Musical Theory
- Audio Recordings
- Music History
- Stage Presence
Learning violin or viola is extremely rewarding and enjoyable and the constancy of learning a stringed instrument builds character. My students start to learn note reading on their first lesson with me. They learn that great posture is a major factor in creating great sound. They are given listening assignments every week. Best of all, they are taught how to express themselves musically. If they need extra support or have questions during the week they know I am just a phone call or email away.

what is the youngest that violinists generally begin lessons? Is there a way to know if a child will take to violin, or is it best to just try it and see?
I have a 3 1/2 year old, and would like to start her with music while she is young.
Thanks for your expertise.
